Castle Rock Ranch Camp is an overnight, farm-to-table camp for girls 9 – 15, located on a ranch with a mile of frontage along the Coeur d’Alene River in the scenic and mountainous northern Idaho panhandle.
Our all-girls camp provides an opportunity for girls to unplug from technology and learn about renewable agriculture and farming in an inclusive and non-competitive way. Food, farming, and outdoor fun is our focus!
Our garden and extensive blueberry and raspberry orchard produce all the food we eat, we have a variety of livestock that the campers help take care of, and we offer horseback riding in the Idaho mountains every day. We aim to cultivate an interest in ranch life, the outdoors, sustainable food, gardening, and agriculture, and to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the natural world in a soul-rejuvenating, rural setting.
Campers ride horses and float down the river every day, but also learn about animal care and growing food by helping with ranch chores in the morning (milking the goats, collecting eggs, and harvesting from the garden) and seeing how those ingredients get used in the kitchen.
Summer camp at Castle Rock Ranch is perfect for girls who love animals, the outdoors and great food.
