This coming summer, thousands of families from across the country and the globe will drop their children off for an exciting summer camp experience in the Berkshires.
While camps all over the country offer great summer camp programs, Berkshire Summer Camps offer some of the most unique and exciting programs imaginable. Here are some of the special things Berkshire campers will experience this summer:
Unreal Culinary Experiences:
Farm-to-table takes on a whole new meaning at Berkshire Summer Camps! Campers visit local farms, milk cows and then use the raw milk to create fantastic cheeses. One camp is introducing a new outdoor cooking program, incorporating produce from their camp garden and local FarmGirl Farms. Cooking, baking, recipe development and more are a few of the available culinary experiences.
Our camp kitchens also partner with local Berkshire companies to serve the freshest and best food. Camp salad bars feature fresh, Berkshire-grown produce. We love serving and eating the best fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses that the Berkshires has to offer.
Get in the Game:
Summer is the perfect time to improve your sports skills, and our Berkshire Summer Camps take sports instruction to the next level. Visiting sports pros are common at our camps. Mia Hamm is just one of the amazing pros that will teach soccer to Berkshire campers this summer.
Another one of one of our programs will be featuring Quickball, a lead-up baseball game developed by Cal Ripken Jr.! Berkshire Fitness Camp, a brand new program for summer 2019, will help campers focus on an overall healthy lifestyle by uniting summer camp with fitness and wellness.
Explore the Arts:
Everyone knows that culture abounds in the Berkshires. Between Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, The Clark, and MASS MoCA, music, art, theater and dance can be found all across the Berkshires. Similarly, at our Berkshire Summer Camps, our campers explore the arts every single day. Visiting artists and professionals join our amazing staffs to help our campers improve their skills in every artistic discipline.
At one Berkshire camp, twenty-two private studios nestled in the woods house private music instruction in voice, piano, wind and string instruments. Another camp brings in Kripalu yoga instructor, Mary Hannah Parkman, to help campers master their mind and strengthen their bodies. It is wonderful to explore the arts at our Berkshire Summer Camps.
Families who send their children to summer camps in the Berkshires really do enjoy the best of everything. The Berkshires are so close to home, yet provide so many opportunities not found at other camps.
