Camp Walden is a traditional co-ed summer camp, set on over 100 beautiful acres, in the splendor of the Southern Adirondack Mountains.
Founded in 1931, Walden has been a summer home for thousands of full and half summer campers and is fully accredited by the American Camp Association.
The Walden philosophy attracts families looking for a down-to-earth, well-grounded community. Walden is a camp that offers a wide variety of program activities while also fostering a warm, family-orientated feeling, where campers feel safe and comfortable. Our nurturing environment is designed with intent and purpose, which makes first-time campers feel as welcome as campers who have been with us for years.
Our well-rounded program provides campers with a balance between scheduled and elective periods. Scheduled periods provide campers with exposure to every camp activity and ensure they cultivate strong relationships with their peers, while elective periods allow campers to focus on activities they enjoy most.
Our pristine, spring-fed lake and well-maintained facility are the perfect setting for our campers to challenge themselves and make new friends. Within just a few miles, our campers have ample opportunities for exciting adventures such as Inter-Camp Tournaments, hiking the Adirondack high peaks and enjoying a Six Flags amusement park.
The camp is approximately 3 ½ hours from NYC and Boston, 2 ½ hours from Montreal and 1 hour from the Albany International Airport.
