If your child loves fashion, crafts, or just creating beautiful things, summer camp at Sew Fun will build on the things they already love!
Our campers (7 and up) not only have the opportunity to have fun and be creative, but they are also introduced to a life skill- SEWING! By the way, sewing is a creative way to build and develop: patience, focus, problem solving and self-confidence!
Our half-day camps are for the beginner as well as those who have some sewing experience. Campers at Sew Fun learn how to sew safely and will use basic sewing skills like threading a sewing machine, sewing straight seams, curves, and finishing seams with a zigzag stitch. Our student to teacher ratio is purposely small (4:1) to ensure that each camper gets quality instruction and the assistance they need.

During the week, we are delighted to see our campers make new friends, learn new skills, and gain a great big dose of confidence because THEY MADE IT! We celebrate our camper’s accomplishments on Fridays with our one and only sew fun! fashion show and each camper gets a chance to proudly “show-off” the projects they made during the week. Our most popular summer camps are:
Slumber Party ‘Ssentials– Created for 7-year-olds because they wanted to learn to sew too! Campers make a pair of shorts, pillowcase, and eye mask.
Splish Splash Water Fun!– Also created for 7-year-olds. Campers make a swim wrap, beach bag, and sunglass case.
The Houses of Hogwarts– Created last year for Harry Potter fans and became an instant success! Campers select their House (Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff) and make a skirt, necktie, and satchel bag using their house colors.
An Outfit for Out and About– Created for the girl on the go! Campers make a pair of shorts and the very stylish cross-body bag.
A Taste of Fashion Design– Created for 11 years olds and up who have an interest in fashion and design and would like to attend a camp for girls their age. Campers learn how to think like a designer, how to sketch, and about the history of fashion. This year campers will make a pair of shorts or a skirt and design their own purse/bag.
We’d love to sew and create something beautiful with your camper this summer!
