Playing on lush fields, exploring the natural woodlands, and riding on amazing horseback trails are just a few of the reasons Oasis LIU Post is the summer camp Long Island kids love.
Oasis serves families in Port Washington, New Hyde Park, Roslyn, Melville, West Hills, Old Bethpage, Farmingdale, Huntington, Dix Hills and the surrounding towns of Nassau County and Western Suffolk County.
Our day camp is located on 300 stunning acres of the LIU Post campus in Nassau County and offers tons of summer fun. We’ve created amazing programming around our premier outdoor facilities, so all the campers have plenty of activities to choose from each week.
The Oasis experience truly comes alive when kids challenge themselves to try new activities at summer camp. Long Island University Post campus is perfect for outdoor adventures such as hiking, orienteering, nature walks, and scavenger hunts. These activities are designed to help campers develop confidence, leadership, and camaraderie while learning a true appreciation of nature.
If your child has always wanted to learn how to horseback ride, now is their chance to give it a try. Campers in first through sixth grades can take horseback riding lessons from the North Shore Equestrian Center, which has been operating on the LIU Post campus for more than 40 years. Their dedicated staff runs the center all year long and provides school horses and training from their highly experienced equestrians to campers of all levels.
Horseback riding is available for an additional $225 a week per child and includes three-hour-long lessons per week. If you want to sign your camper up for lessons, please email Jason or Matt at liupost@oasischildren.com.
More reasons why Oasis is the summer camp Long Island kids love!
The NCAA Division I athletic fields and tennis courts are another reason why Oasis is the summer camp Long Island kids love. We offer expert coaching for sports including basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball, and give every child the chance to reach their individual potential. If your camper is new to a sport, no problem—our coaches will show them how to pass, shoot and score.
If that wasn’t enough, we also offer a waterfront program for kids in Upper Camp. Activities include stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing, and the program is overseen by staff members who are also expert fishermen and sailors.
There are also plenty of activities to try inside our air-conditioned facilities when temperatures rise, or rain is in the forecast. All campers have exclusive access to the indoor eight-lane saltwater swimming pool, or they can take hip-hop dance classes or learn how to code in the computer lab.
These are just a few of the reasons why kids want to attend Oasis summer camp Long Island. Our philosophy is to expose campers to a well-rounded mix of activities, so they have an amazing summer day camp experience.
There’s never a dull moment at Oasis summer camp at Long Island Post. We blend excitement and spontaneity with lots of tradition and camp spirit that keeps kids coming back year after year!
